For Months and Months, I’ve been on here,
Trying to get to your pensive ear,
Hoping always you’ll understand,
What I write with pen in hand.
When wishing my poems to review,
Will you please read them ~ all the way through,
And try to understand the poem all.
Lest your words, do me appal.
Some recent Reviews that I’ve had,
Have left me feeling rather sad,
For the Reviewers did just read the first Verse,
And the meaning wrong, they got ~ of course.
‘Lingering’ was the poem in question,
And the Reviewers’ thoughts I must mention,
For they thought that I had ‘Writers’ Block’,
And all I wanted was for the flow to stop.
It’s often that I’m stuck for a rhyme,
And that does happen on many a time,
But when the poem I’ve begun,
The words do flow till I’m done.
