Moon Eclipse Poem by Shiami Thayalakumar

Moon Eclipse

When the sun disappears
and the moon dances over the dome of the sky,
in company of a million stars
a boy catches fireflies in his jars
What an romantic thought
beside him a beautiful girl
chasing him through the wind
What a trouble she is colour-skinned.
but the dark sky said
white and black are supposed to be together
and the white moon blushed,
because it knew it will be so forever.
