Morning

May I have a cup
Of mild green tea?
Picked freshly
From green tea leaves

To sip while the sun
It's journey has begun
Rising to the world
Greeting everyone

May I have some bread
By my mild green tea?
With faint garlic taste
That I can eat briefly

Chew on while the birds
Awaken to the world
And break beautiful silence
With the most beautiful words

You've heard.

poet Sir John Suckling

Dost see how unregarded now
That piece of beauty passes?
There was a time when I did vow
To that alone;
