Mortal Fools Poem by Pasquale DiMeola

Mortal Fools

Rating: 3.0

Unwholesome as a life can become
Our intentions splay into the erroneous
As we are unrelentingly swept
Abroad the swaying bandwagons
In the narcissistic parade of fraternity
Tempting others into the debauched revelry
That drifts through the harrowing duration
Of a lifetime arriving at a dead end
Whereby an enormous mirror is positioned
So you may witness yourself
And the reflected bodies strewn behind
By your impassive wheels of neglect.
