Mortal Trap Poem by Mellisa Salazar

Mortal Trap

Never enough time to do what we want
But plenty of time to waste
Hasty haste
I hate the taste of hate
Eradicate the pain and itch
With ointments and medicine
Lace us up stitch by stitch
Falling apart bodies with nowhere to go
We run and we run until the day we fall
