Mortality Poem by Dorsey Baker

Mortality

ma-gets sleep
in the darkness
of the deep
the creature has
no movement
the creature has
no soul
an awful creature
to behold
its sin is now forgiven
its debt is now
fully paid
above the grave
a red rose
begins to fade
