Mossy Green Rock Poem by Ronald James de Langen

Mossy Green Rock

A mossy green rock; a comfortable spot to stop,
from a long hike and longer thoughts.
Overlooking a waterfall ‘pon the rocks it drops.
From where your waters come and frought?
With adventures sense do relate,
What lies above and beyond?
Hopes for a soul to associate
with the origins of water spawned,
I would grudgingly go explore,
could climb the falls to see.
But nature sent this comfy rock by the shore.
So woe is to me
To never know what lay above and beyond the mossy green rock.
