Most Of Them Do Believe Poem by Francis Duggan

Most Of Them Do Believe

Good memories of them for their bravery many wish to recall
But many true heroes do not believe they are heroes at all
They say what they had done most others in their situations would do the same
And they do not welcome the glorification of fame
Their sort truly brave people but they do not see it this way
And what they had done people do every day
Oftheir exrtreme acts of bravery they try to leave none in doubt
That fame is a thing that they can live without
Many brave people say for their acts of bravery credit they are not due
That to their higher selves they were only being true
To them fame and honor can be an ego swelling thing
And their own praises you never do hear them sing
Many true heroes in the estimation of most people walk tall
But most of them do believe they are not heroes at all.
