The woman who understands me
Most of the time
She often helps me through
When I can’t make up my mind

The woman who knows what
Turns me off and on
She makes me feel like a rose
When I feel like a thorn

The woman who knows
What it takes to be strong
She says it will be alright
When I’ve done something wrong

The woman who explains
When I make mistakes
She knows how to be a friend
She has just what it takes

The woman who has struggled
To get where she is
She knows how to love
She knows how to live

The woman who says
Look out for your sisters and brothers
Who else could this be?
Of course it’s a MOTHER!
