Mother Poem by Mark McGarry

Mother

My hazy childhood memories,
In most of them your face I see,
Always watching, taking care,
Always safe within your stare,
Times have changed from those early days,
When I played happily in your gaze,
As times changed, and I would wander,
The bond we share it still grew stronger,
All through the years you’ve been there for me,
Protecting, guiding, helping me,
On you I always can rely,
Rain or shine, lows and highs,
My respect for you is beyond compare,
The deepest love we’ll always share,
The person I admire more than any other,
I’m glad to say’s my friend, My Mother.
