A caring planet with qualities that give promise
Cradling with warmth…from life's first breath
Nourishing with food and water instinctively...
As days and nights measure time before death

The earth's existence seems purposefully planned
Its atmosphere and surface are perfectly designed
A home to those who slither, swim, walk and fly
Can its generosity withstand the havoc of mankind

Will its snow capped mountains continue to glisten
Will its forests continue to whisper softly in the breeze
Will the tides continue to flow with the moon's persuasion
In the future …will living things boil or freeze?
