I am from you and from you I took
a fraction of you makes my frame
I took of your substance
leaving you frail and pail,
nourished from the vitality of your beauty
to blossom like the morning glory
and vulture on your vigor!
You eat only to feed
and sleep only to stay wakeful!
as the lonely night lasts.
From me to everyone after me
you poured out in torrent
vestiges of your radiance
in exchange for wrinkles,
slow and sluggish! The
like of a camel of heavy burden.
You bore mothers of fathers and sons
through generations yet to extinct
With your tube of life
Mother earth populates,
but for you it would have been a desolated surface
