Muhammad Ali: The Stings And The Bee-Stinger... Poem by Murtaza Micky Yusuf

Muhammad Ali: The Stings And The Bee-Stinger...

His light shone so bright the eyes dazed
We saw mouths wide open
Tongues wagged for him like a dog's tail
This is a twinkle, twinkle new star
Ali in wonder land jaw dropping jabs
He once jabbed an opponent down like a plucked mango tree
The Man goes down and sees stars
His Trade mark was T.K.O.
A Technical Knock Out of inestimable value
A showmanship like a float of butterfly
Earned him an accolade, the greatest
He was a sweet honey bee stinger
The inventor of Sweet boxing
A taste of his sweet honey bee-stinger
Cures all hatred for boxing
A friend of the people came to Nigeria
His sweet boxing met its match
In the Nigerian milk of tender love
A mammoth crowd yelled his name Ali, Ali, Ali
Fare thee well my inspiration
My most distinguished celebrity at adorable
