Multipl-I-City Poem by Dairedee BurrisLandwehr

Multipl-I-City

I saw your crystal-lined perfection, and
I – a clumsy child – decided to play it safe,
Leaving you mintly-intact
Just in case
I stabbed mental cracks, and
Derailed your brain off track, where

I sailed ships on ceilings of perception wax,
Waves cresting in unknown directions
That realign all introspection.

I was me, and you were me, and
We three could not be seen by
Non-believers, or
False deceivers, those
Big Heads whispering in red;
Stealing our Divinity, our
Power of Infinity, instead of
Healing our souls, minds and heads.

They watch us slip through holes
Where dreams unfold, and
We do as we’re told –
Getting wrinkled; growing old.
We represent present,
Future, past.
We are Universal – just
Off the map.

We are the moon, times
The sun, times
The air, times
Love.

North is South, and
Up is
Down.
Sight is heard, and
Touch is sound, but
This would be upsurd, unless
You pass the test, and confess
To Being god, goddess, or
The Rest.
