We all have that one thing we believe in
It may come with controversy or a hand full of sin
It may be something that you hold with in
It may be a person that smiles and makes your whole world spin
But believing in this pushes you that extra inch
Keeps you strong in a world full of lunatics
Keeps you in the fight with no flinch
Picks you up when you're sunk in
And for me that's rhythm, melody, harmony, and a couple guitar strings
Music is the only thing that goes through what you do
Its not there to hurt its there to sooth
Its there to better your mood
Turns the worst situations into a melody of good
Understands the misunderstood
Makes any gray sky, blue
In a world full of lies it speaks the truth
In love with drum patterns, piano keys, and harmonies
Because they all work together like family
And in this world thats the one thing im missing
When my mind is going crazy music is here to listen
Its in my heart so its never distant
Its part of my soul so it keeps my spirits lifted
When it hits it rushes through you like a blitz
But there's no pain experienced
Its a real world interference
To give your mind clearance
In this heartless world its the one and only
That no matter what, won't leave you lonely
