Music Poem by Rik Bertrand

Music

Music strikes me like a Lightning force,
It has become my true life's main course,
I feed on the rhythm of my heart,
And compose music as fine art.

I feel the notes burst through the air,
Like fireworks going off on a dare.
I caress the thoughts of whimsical love,
As the musical notes fall from above.

The drums rustle with every beat,
Bringing the audience to their feet.
With every pick of the flaming guitar,
My life radiates like a musical star.

Music; a blood and a bond that all humans share,
Music is the electrical energy in the air.
And as I put my fingers on the piano keys,
They come to life like a swarm of bees.

Every breath I take is a musical note,
Forming lyrics in my lungs to cleverly quote.
A universal language for all to understand.
Music is life, and life is a Band.

Blessings, Slainte and May Music be with you,
May you hear the rhythm and never be blue.
May you surround yourself with all that is true,
And feel the electricity of in all that you do.
