My 500th Poem Poem by Jonathan Goldman a.k.a JGthepoet

Will this be the Day I’ll write it?
It troubles me once more,
My 500th Poem in Rhyme and Scan,
And will there be an Encore?

Are not 500 Poems enough?
A Milestone ~ written by pen.
Must I seek yet 500 more?
Dare I ask of HIM ~ when?

I look for guidance from above,
From my MAKER for Words I look,
For it is HIS Words I do write ~
Will they be Published in a Book?

On Subjects many the Poems have been,
On Memories and Fantasies too,
Religious Poems and more besides,
Conveyed from HIM to You.

Are they so strange the Words I write,
As they are HIS ~ not mine,
Will there be 500 more Poems from me,
Before the End of my Time?
