My Affliction Poem by Samantha Young

My Affliction

You are like my own personal disease.
The way you affect my whole body with your words of apathy,
Your touch of misery,
And your slow torment to my heart.
You kill me slowly and painfully.
But without you in my life,
I wouldn't have built up this immunity
To other diseases like you...
