My Asian Home Poem by Aaron Rigodon

My Asian Home

Rating: 4.5

A home very unique from other houses
by its size and residents.
Six people struggle to live in
this domicile full of sadness.
The father and mother struggle
to support their kids.
The kids hating this environment.

The older brother says he hates
his asian family.
He wants to leave them and start
a new life away from the tears.
Parents yelling at him for being
disrespectful, and cry for him.

the world hates him, and wish he was gone.
He is the son of Lucifer, burning in hell.
They can hate him but his family still loves him.
His family was his heaven.

I think sometimes our family is our only 'safe place' we have. (at least they should be a safe place) . The sad part if when the family is no longer safe....where do they go then? Great poem Aaron. Sincerely, Mary
