My Bed Poem by Valerie Webber

My Bed

Rating: 4.5

</>Encapsulated in my satin cocoon
With the sound of the rain outside
I stir, the remnants of a sweet dream swirling
Through my mind, still in my peripheral consciousness

Intoxicated with the sensuality of sleep
Feeling the soft sheet caress my skin
I stretch... Luxuriating in the warmth of my hynopompic state
Savoring the feeling of being neither asleep or awake

Sighing with content as I prepare to succumb
Once again to the land of dreams
With the rain cascading against my window pane
I hug my pillow with delight

Then all too soon the sharp noise of the alarm
Wakes me out of my reverie
Ending my sweet romance with my bed
I rise to start another day...
