My Body Wants The Blade Poem by Alexandria Angel

My Body Wants The Blade

My body wants to feel the blade cutting through my flesh,
it wants it now, it wants it fresh.
I want the pain to fade away when it drips,
knowing the single thought that I won't be missed.
Please let it be easy to leave,
knowing everything wouldn't go back to how it used to be.
I hate my PTSD, because it's poisoning me.
Can't you wish to b free?
Can't you wait any longer for the pain to retreat?
I wanna feel the sweet pain,
to feel that I can actually feel again.
I keep a mask on to hide my face,
if you knew what I was thinking you'll know I never had grace.
Please let me feel the pain shoot up my arm,
if you saw it you would be in alarmed.
My body wants to feel the blade cutting through my flesh,
it wants it now, it wants it fresh.
