My Book Poem by Rose Marie Cook

My Book

Rating: 5.0

Tears constantly fall
Crashing down upon my life
Pages of my book torn
Destroyed; no longer call

Failure and disappointment
Struggles to please
The pen writes and I
Fall to my knees

Gasping for air
Screaming out
Ending it now
Praying one last time to fix it

Pounding on walls
Shredding my flesh
Dissolving back to nothing
The pen falls never to rise again

The pages filled
This was my life
And now it's my end.
