My Clever Chickens Poem by Mike Berriman

My Clever Chickens

My hen 'Peabody' lays hard boiled eggs
All due to love and what she is fed
Groomed to perfection, a real piece of art
This hen has talents and such a sweet heart.

Now Rocket is gorgeous in her 'chic' coat of red
So very strong willed and not easily led
Her hard boiled eggs are without peer
She clucks in delight, whenever I go near.

Wendy's favourite, is the ravishing Red Foo
A hen with attitude and intelligence too
An easy task for her, it is said
She is so Adept in laying those hard boiled eggs.
