My Dad's Last Cry Poem by Madelene Calalo

My Dad's Last Cry

Weak, restless me
Why can't you see?
I feel so tortured.
My body's really hurt.

As I rest with tubes all over me,
you cry and weep unhappily.
I know you're hurt as you see me lie
On this bed where I'm gonne die.

My spirit is still alive
but my soul wants to rest.
In the place
where the sun never sets.

I know you'll be upset
If I'll leave you now.
I know you'll be crying.
I know you'll feel down.

But don't worry.
Just let me be
Just let me go
and God will take care of me.
