My Darling Poem by Kenrick Vaughn Lockhart

My Darling

Only time will tell how long we last,
But every second so far I want to spend with You

I know this might be a lot to grasp,
But together there is a love we brew

You picked up the pieces I left behind,
And pieced me together into something new

Without your guidance I would be blind,
Who I am is a sketch you drew

You overflow my cup with your joy,
For this I am eternally grateful

Who was I but a boy,
Wandering through life always hateful

I was screwed and always full of problems
A sight no one wanted to see,

Always at the Hospital filling out forums,
I was not someone anyone wanted to be

Yet through my pain and mistakes,
You saw I was more

Although my hate quakes,
You knew all I was, was sore

So you gave me the gift that I needed,
What more could I ask for than a companion

Now that my life was seeded,
I was no longer a Phantom

You turned around what no one could,
You redefined everything I am

You showed me I can actually do good,
I embraced an ocean of possibilities and you watched as I swam

So who I am today is nothing more,
Than a piece of you that's now a piece of me

You destroyed every part of me that was sore,
And made me who I am and who I can be
