My dearest grandpa, a remarkable man
Started his life with a simple plan
Work for his father, goats were his friend,
Until he arrive in the UK, working near London's west end
Learning English must have been hard,
But then again grandpa was no retard
He met my grandma in a chocolate factory
First thing he said was ‘What's in your sandwich? '
Spoken- bananas the answer
Spoken- And their love was born
Determined to marry,
Grandpa would defend
His love for grandma,
Five children in the end
15 grandchildren, and 2 great.
Grandpa was always appreciative of his good fate
My dearest grandpa, remarkable man
Always believed in me, praised my whenever he can,
He loved a visit, any time of day,
Eat what you can, leave what you can't he used to say.
I know I'll miss grandpa every single day, that obvious to say
But when I feel down and grey
I'll look to the sky
And I know all i'll have to say is
Grandpa, come stand by me today.
