My Dearest Mother Poem by Emelita C. Smith

My Dearest Mother

The most tough but loving woman i have known
Your endless affection makes you special and rare;
I'm always amazed by how much you care.
What you've given to me, I can never repay,

Throughout my life your caring,
Brightened each and every minute of the day.
You loved me and enriched my life,
And I am so glad to have you in it!

I always think about you, always wants to be with you
both in good times and bad times.For all the good things you taught
both happy and sad, you're always there to make it good.

Each year I'm extra happy on your birthday;
Your day reminds me of God's gift to me
God's bestowed me A friend,
a mom, whose always there for me and made me who i am today.
A mother like the one I want to be.

How could I ever, thank you enough?
Through your examples, I learned to be tough.
and win the battle in life
You taught me how to stand up for myself.
Taught me the best value in life

I find myself wondering...
Did I give you something or do anything
For all that you've done for me
Did I ever thank you?

Remembering your birthday
I have this opportunity to say today;
Mother, thank you for your heart, faith and patience
And all your love and care
Thank you for giving all yourself
Until now even if I can manage by my own.
You are there for me to lean on
You are the angel for me
sent from God above.
