My Father Poem by Fox Nekitsune

My Father

Rating: 4.5

Once upon a time I was happy
I think it was as a child
I can barely remember

My fondest memory is of daddy
As a man he was so mild
And one September

He told me that he loved me

I told him that too
He showed me his love for me
He whispered ‘I love you’
He said his love was free

He told me that he loved me

I miss him now
He went a way for a while
He couldn’t come to my bed

Then I got older some how
I remember sitting in the trial

I never saw him again
