My Fear Of You Poem by Tumelo Morukuru Ntehelang

The last time I heard and saw u I had tears in my eyes,
I felt betrayed and decided not to trust u ever again
I couldn’t even look into your eyes

I never saw or hear of u again since then
What were u thinking living us like that?
With that heartless, monsters, evil, son off….devil
Are you expecting us to forgive and forget just like that?
Let me tell you what happened
What we heard was the tear gas and it had flooded the beautiful place
Strange I couldn't see the hills any more, the ones I used to see everyday it was like a white cloud was just above my roof top

Blood flowed through out and it was all over the Molopo River up to Lotlamoreng
Even my people in Botswana were drinking unsanitary water
All of a sudden everything had changed
And the new Dawn had came to the beautiful place, my home town

Why do we have to argue about who is a good/bad leader
Who’s criminal?
A leader with no vision,
A selfish
Arrogant and
Self centered leader?
A Nebukadneser of our modern times

Why can't they be like him, the only man I know?
I asked my self

Though some times I still feel despair
And it comes to me as a pain
It’s like u holding a spear in my heart, or I have a thorn in a flesh, or maybe u have put your fingers in my eyes
I thought to my self
Am i trapped with Africa's Big five Lion being the main man?
If so i have to run faster than a fearful Zebra!
But were to? I asked them and my self

Or I didn’t tell you about them, u know why
I have got fear of you
I feared
That when u read this you will tear it up!
And of cause you know how I feel about you
Because u making me angry and confused –
You’re Slanders, Malicious and Defamatory Statements Makes u less state man, but a Killer, liar and a backstabber

My fear of you is indefinable as it’s like you have spited on my face
You have jeopardized the faith and trust I had on you
You fearful, hideous, monsters gorilla
My fear of you has made me to loose love and trust and faith
My fear of you
