My Feline Love Poem by Paula Robinson

My Feline Love

Natures work of art in feline form
Your grace and beauty transfix
You will not be mastered or kept
Free to roam whenever you choose

Mischievous, playful, naughty thing
Capturing hearts with every glance
Bounding feet, flick of the tail
Greeting with unconditional love

Feisty Emerald eyed goddess
Pin cushion paws hiding claws of steel
Arching back with fur on end
Warnings for your foe

Warm and sleepy creature
Eaten to your hearts content
Curled in embryonic state
Until the next adventure beckons

Ah, a cat lover, indeed, and a good poet, to boot. This is so well done. I especially like: 'Eaten to your hearts content Curled in embryonic state Until the next adventure beckons' I wonder if you meant to use the word 'eaten' rather than 'eating.' 'Curled in embryonic state' is marvelous imagery. best, alicia

Hmmm, Paolo sounds very deep, you have given grace and beauty to cats however, which is what I like, Colin If you like, read my poem 'The Cat Tray' which is about my two cats...
