As you looked into my eyes
It felt like I had won first prize
One of God's most beautiful charms
I was actually holding in my arms

Never had I felt such a love
A perfect gift sent from above
What a privilige to be given the role
To be the mother of this little soul

What a wonderful baby you were
And such an angelic little girl
With great big beautiful doe eyes
A bright mind too, what a surprise

So you sailed through your school days
and those funfilled teenage years
I could not believe where the time went
As we said goodbye & smiled back tears

It's been six years and eight months
since you went so far away
But you remained in my heart
And I have thought of you everyday

The love we have for eachother
has never faded over the years
And we have kept eachother going
even through hard times & a few tears

Many times after we hang up
I consider how time really flies
And think of the first day we met
As you looked into my eyes
