My Friend Poem by Dimu Eric Olowo

My Friend

Who art thou son of Adam,
You art my friend begotten
Not from my paternal
But nature bequeaths you
To me. in all your glowing candour.
You are such a sweet delicate
Fragile wonder of nature.
So delicate yet so loving
Both through the thick and thin,
Not in words alone but in action and in doings.
We both are just like a sole
Apple cleft in two, identically,
Separate but still one.
You are my friend.
