From the first day I held you
I knew my love was unconditional
You fit in the palm of my hand
You loved me unconditionally

You sat in my hand and glanced up at me
With your green eyes, bright pink ears,
And your long white fur
You looked up at me and stared

Our bond is irreplaceable
You take care of me like no human can
My love for you continues to grow
All day long you show you can

My furry friend lasts a lifetime
While men come and go
You will always care for me
When everyone else lets go

Derby, my best friend, my pal
I don't know what I would do
Without you in my life I would be lost
So please never leave me to
