Mother Nature Makes Us Stronger Poem by Dawn Keller

Mother Nature Makes Us Stronger

Turn on the morning news
Disaster strikes again
Another city, another town
Torn apart again

Mother nature has struck again
But we will never give up
People come together
To help others back up

As the day turns to night
Survivors are pulled to safety
Roads flooded, homes destroyed
Rescuers help a father and baby

Another day rolls around
Rain keeps falling down
Relief efforts are out to help
Flooding has covered roads downtown

Friends and families help out
Strangers become one together
People drive for miles to help
People stranded make it to shelters

Look how communities come together
During good times and bad times
We are all one big family
Out here to help for a lifetime
