My Glasses And I Poem by Swetha Srinivasan

My Glasses And I

Rating: 5.0

My name is Kira
and i'm six-foot five
But the only problem is
that i've got power in my eye.

But I did not mind
and I lost concentration in my classes
That's when my mom told me
to go and get glasses.

I hesitated to wear glasses
I felt they spoilt my beauty
But people just said
'Kira, you still look pretty.'

But one lucky day
my little dog Bucky
Took away my glasses
and broke them; 'How lucky! '

I thought I would feel happy
so much to sing a song
But people just said
'Something in Kira is very wrong.'

I felt very sad
I felt like I could get mad
And then I saw my mom
with a new pair of glasses in her hand.

I happily rushed to them
and wore them up my nose
Everybody liked me again
and I blushed like a rose.

My name is Kira
and i'm six-foot five
I love my glasses
which provide vision to my eyes.
