My Head Still Hurts - Poem by Dionne K. Kelly

My head still hurts
The medicine didn't help
And even in a room full of people
I feel as if I'm by myself

No one knows my struggles
No one knows my pain
No one quite knows beyond the smiles what's really running around inside my brain

My head still hurts
The medicine didn't help
And even though I try like hell to pretend
I guess there's still people who manage to get in

No one knows my struggles
No one knows my pain
No one quite knows beyond the smiles what's really running around inside my brain

My head still hurts
Why the f**k didn't the medicine take effect
C'mon hurry up and kick in
I'm tired of feeling so broken

No one knows my struggles
No one knows my pain
Blah blah blah
I'd really like to keep it that way
As long as I hide from it all
Nobody can hurt me nobody will see a tear fall

My head still hurts
The medicine didn't help
In a room full of people
I am by myself

Dionne-this was excellent! Seriously, I loved it. It's one of the best poems I've ever read on here, and I've been on here a long time!

    God Bless and rock on!
