My Heaven Poem by Ella Gory

My Heaven

As I lie here in my bed,
I think of how fast I lost you.
How in a little amount of time my life became so empty.
My friends say there will be other, but I don’t think their right.
I pick up the phone to call you one last time.
But hang up before they answer.
The blood left my body and my legs have gone weak.
If I had stayed on I would have know the truth.
That we would never kiss again or hold your hand.
You were my piece of heaven.
My memories of you well keep me happy enough until I join you.
