My Heightened Senses Poem by Kelvin Rush

My heightened senses are in full flight
As I near the end of the road
I'm blessed with angels and the divine tonight
I've finally shed my load

I feel so much peace elation and joy
The light has enriched my soul
It won't be long now I've had my time
I'm off to the great unknown

I've no regrets no remorse no pain
I'm going with acceptance and grace
We all know death is an absolute
Everyone has to take their place

I've loved every minute of my incredible life
And now I must answer my call
