your face is so beautiful
it can be my home

your body is so luscious
it can be my dining place

your wholeness
can be my island where
i can be alone and yet
happiest

your sweat is my
water
that i must drink so
i may live
for another day

you are my everything
my world, my universe

how can you be mine?

be mine
be mine,
i chant
a prayer
that you
may hear
me


how can i be
within you?
how can i be
without you?

i am thirsty,
i am hungry
i am dying.

and
then in one wink
of the eye
you are
gone
forever.
