My Laughing Love Poem by Francesca Marriner

My Laughing Love

Your eyes see through into my soul.
I long to be your only one,
the one you want to hold.

Nobody makes me feel so special,
yet so rejected. My heart aches
in the confusion of your words.

Glimpses of our romance haunt my
days, your laughter echoes in your
army of slaves.

I'll love you forever. Yet
my anxiety shields any progress.
Your smile. A reflex that breaks my heart.

You must never know.
