My Life Poem by Sean Buchsbaum

My Life

My life is about changing who I am
It shows inside,
seeing life through my eyes.
Is another sight
Looking back I see you there
Sneering down
On what I am
Finding out that I am who I am
I say what I feel
No fear in what I feel
I’m not embarrassed
Of who I am
Only wishing of what I missed
If I could have changed
It up a bit
Feeling my actions as I go by
Another day
As I watch it all wash
Away
I am here again
As I open my eyes
Looking up
As I see the sky
Sadly for you as I say
Its blocked by a wall
In my way
Im stuck in this life
Its not that bad
Im trapped in a life
I wish I had
I throw these words on
A paper
I change nothing
As I see who I am
This is my life
In a simple
Format
Its not a paragraph
Sentences
Or even stanzas
It’s a form
Of writing
That’s usually called
Poetry
Or a form of life
That runs by
My fingers
As it all passes by
Its not just rhyming
It’s a story with each word
As you read this now
It rhymes a little
Its for school
So it cant be little
As I write my
Life down on a paper
Sing a song and call
It a tune
Im writing a paper that
Is about life
When its only a paper
For school
Poems could be repetitive
They could be simple
But never doubt what
You read
It is a story
As easy as snow
But changes into
An adventure
That goes with
The flow
As the hill gets bigger
The snow gets softer
The sled in your hand
Falls on the ground
As the hill
Falls up the sled
Passing it by
As now I say
goodbye
