My Life! ((Part 2)) Poem by Kristin Nicole RothDavis

My Life! ((Part 2))

Rating: 5.0

Life just isn't the same,
My kids are over there,
While I'm all the way over here,
Very few even seem to care.

What's one to do really?
I tell myself that things are bound to get better, not to be silly.
Can't help but wonder which part of my
Heart will be mended back together,
I feel like I'm carrying this burden
With a broken feather.

In one hand I have the love of my life,
In the other, my children's future
Doctor's say so many things, it's hard to know
I can't afford to make poor choices
My time's a tickin' never know
When I'll end up below.

Life just isn't the same,
My kids are over there,
While I'm all the way over here,
Very few even seem to care.
