Thank you for the maiden humble and fair
and thank you for the young man who loved her truly
Thank you for the angel who understood the young man's pain
and thank you for the young man's obedient and devout heart
Thank you for the lineage that took them on a journey to a blessed little town
and thank you for the donkey who carried her gently mile after mile
Thank you for the inn crowded to the roof and walls
and thank you that it had no room for others that holy night
Thank you for the humble little stable on the outskirts of town
and thank you for the gentle donkeys and goats and cows within
Thank you for the manger filled with clean sweet smelling hay
and thank you for the quiet star lighting the way
Thank you for the angels joyfully announcing to lowly shepherds
and thank you for the news they bore
Thank you for the baby born that night in a stable
and thank you for giving us your Son
And thank you for loving us so very much
and thank you for giving us that night
all in one.. a shepherd who cares for His flock, a light to guide our feet,
our daily bread for our soul, and our Savior to bring us home.
Amen.

Mj--These Covid days and nights weary our souls so I thought it would be healing to start a list of things to be grateful. Thank you for the perfect score, my friend.

My reply flew away, Mj. PH does that a lot. How dreary of them.

A lovely poem. PH works in mysterious way, I'm still getting to grips with this new version. Your poem gets 5*

Thank you for giving this top marks, David. I think we all could use encouragement in these pandemic times and a less than attractive new PH.!

Thank you, David. PH is indeed mysterious. They don't even have me on their list of poets nor do they show even half of my new poems on their new poem list. But I still have good poems to read by my friends, both old and new.

I just noticed my title! That is not my title. My Title was MY LIST OF GRATITUDES. What in the world is PH doing?
