My Locked Up Cage Poem by Jenkin Tsui

My Locked Up Cage

Rating: 5.0

one drop, two drop,
the third and the fourth
swiftly touches the mattress
that absorb my woe.
my trembling body
doesn't feel the snow-burn
but a sorrow regret.
While my shaking head
speaks to me softly like a breeze
as if it is ailing
My broken heart
intensifies my dream, and
My endless thoughts
teaches me how to fly toward my desired world
like a bird.
external pressures are crashing
my motivations like burdens
as seem no one can extend their hands
into my own little cage and touching
my very inner heart, and
trying to grab my very soul
that contains my most sincere words
and unspoken secrets.
Who can I speak to
to bring myself out of my sky of solitude?
Who can be my best pal
to re-guide me towards my dream?
Hopeless and fear dragged me into a cage
As sadness becomes my lock that conceals my
dream, and motivation, and love, and care,
and my original colourful world
As if I in a sudden jump into a grey world,
from a rainbow-colour one.
Where is my motivation?
No, it cannot be carried out by just a sincere murmuring
so cannot be carried out by sadness or fear
May it be free
May it be able to fly to wherever it wants
to the endless skyline
to the boundless universe
and may my big mouth
open up again
to laughter
May someone free me from darkness
from the locked up cage
from my fear
and from my care.
