My Love Poem by Ronald Chapman

My Love

My Love so far away,
My Love from so long ago,

Looking at you on a cold wintery day,
Warm memories enter into my heart daily,
Pain in my heart settling in sorrow,

My Love so far away,
My Love from so long ago,

My last wish would be to touch your soft lips,
Look into your dark eyes to say goodbye,
One final minute with you, that I will remember for eternity,

Tears of ice streaming down my face,

My Love so far away,
My Love so long ago,

How can I kiss your lips,
How can I touch your heart one more time?

Looking at a wintery, snowy day outside,
Memories have me tied to the past,
I'm cold as ice,

Loving you so far away,
Loving you from another time,
Memories of the past have me trapped in ice,

It's impossible for me not to forget you,
I'm afraid my life will end without a smile.
