Why do we love the ones we do?
What is it that made me fall for you?
How come every time you smile it give me a rush?
When ever some one speaks of you why do I blush?
What is this feeling that I feel deep inside?
Why before you have I never felt so alive?
Why when I am away from you can I not sleep?
But when I am with you I make not a peep?
Are you the one I’m destined to need?
Should my hearts desire I heed?
What will it take to make you mine complete?
Is it money, love, or a dazzling feat?
I could bring you the stars is that enough?
Shall I fight for your love to show you I’m tough?
How am I to find a place in your heart?
How can I keep us from ever being apart?
Will we be together until the end of time?
Or will you never be mine?
For all of these questions I can only answer a few.
But there are many things I can promise you.
To love you and hold you tight.
To lay and protect you every night.
To give you the world as you see fit.
To love you with everything I am, every last bit.
To always be there in your time of despair.
To you my life ill always share.
To be with you when you need me most.
To make you breakfast in bed and butter your toast.
To bring you flowers when you’re feeling blue.
To you I’ll always be true.
To rub your back when you’ve had a long week.
To call you daily just to hear you speak.
To take care of you when you’re feeling ill.
To cook for you until you’ve had your fill.
To always look at you like I haven’t seen you in years
To kiss you softly and nibble your ears.
To love you compassionately.
To make this love last for eternity.
I hope these promises can suffice
Because I love you my darling, my sweetheart, my life.
