My Love Lies Laying Poem by Warren R Abbott Jr

My Love Lies Laying

There is a gorgeous woman laying body to body next to mine
On a soft luxurious royal bed of grass so fine
We are gazing wondrously into the heavens above
As we talk dream and feel throbs of LOVE
In a peaceful sweet sharing recline

Clouds, clouds, and more clouds
In regimented myriads o'er head swiftly pass
As we chat the day through
The minutes, hours and day
While pillows of puff whisp by so very fast

Our bodies sense a magnetic closeness
Growing within our mortal souls
As sunset slips the day into cover of night
The fabric of two beating hearts being knit
Together in the warp and woof of Life

Alas the Stars have blanketed the sky
While we took no thought of asking Why?
I leaned over the beauty of her body grand
Melded my wet lips to hers in mutual pleasure
As time passed day into night in an hour glass of sand

In a secret corner of my heart thoughts concealed
Of all these legions of stars, all the women of this earthly land
How did I come to cross paths with this, most beautiful ONE
ONE whose brightness enlivens my every part
The Venus, first Star of the Morn, The Glory of my Heart

In mindless trance we passed the time
Watching clouds and more rush by in the heat of day
Until a thousand pinholes of bright filled the nights shroud
Yet still we had volumes of LOVE to express in our sayings
This is true joy sharing a royal bed of grass Where My Love Lies Laying
