My Mind Transcends Poem by RAJESHWARI SRINIVASAN

My Mind Transcends

My mind transcends

My mind transcends a thousand ways
out of my reach I follow to dream
thinking it’s me and only me.
I feel the stakes of joy and pain
as though my mind has all taken.
My mind bursts like a night cracker
sounding like a bomb in fire
helter-skelter I wander around
to feel all that’s far and beyond
nowhere do I see any sense
just allowing all to happen
an uncontrolled puppet
my mind controls my feelings.
My mind flies like a wild kite in wind
in all weird directions swinging
I gather all the dust along
feeling like a forsaken vagabond.
Then as though my mind sees sense
Godliness is also experienced
I look up to the yonder space
seeking out for a soothing being
holding me back to myself
I gather all the strength again
as my mind has become mine again.
