My Mother Poem by Tricia D'cruz

My Mother

Your love knows no boundaries, like the water that flows from the rivers, to the wide open seas
You are my rainbow, you paint my sky colourful after every rain
You are like the moon, that shines on me when I'm lost in darkness
You are like a waterfall, I hear your loud applause cheering me on, even when I fall

I am a butterfly, you watch me flutter my wings
You taught me how to let my soul rejoice, to the song of the wind
If not for your being, I would have been none
I never miss your love, for it's always in my heart
Like the earth, will always have the sun
