My Mother's Last Wish Poem by Babalola Jubril

My Mother's Last Wish

Rating: 5.0

Live a standard life,
Drink from your own well,
Eat from your own plate,
Do not play in other people's court,
She continues to chant my eulogy
' Ladeni, omo mi, Iyeru okin,
omo olofa mojo, Omo ajisu joko '

Elongate your ear tail,
Listen well to my piece,
Peace into pieces are pizzas in the plastic plates,
Recite peace in your song,
Write peace in your poetry,
Speak peace in your language,
Spread peace accross the globe
Let peace resides in you,
She continues to chant my eulogy,
Ladeni omo mi, Iyeru okin,
omo torobe toro obe,

Open your eyes widely,
Like the oceans open its entrance,
Open your heart widely,
Like the seas open its external,
Allow people in your world,
Let people grow with you,
Add fertilisers to other people's land,
Monitor their crops till the harvest day,
With them you will grow faster and stronger,

Live a life of your own,
Don't live according to their principles,
Make your laws and principles,
Invest into your world independently,
Listen to lies and truth,
Listen to the good and the bad,
Decide the best for your life,
She continues to chant my eulogy,
Ladeni, omo mi, omo ja nkan ja nkan ti o gbodo ja ra won,
omo ejo rogba rogba ti ogbodo ko rawon
I am here today,
I may not tomorrow,
Open your eyes and your heart,
Like the sky open its butt for the earth to see,
Ladeni omo mi ooo

Heed my words cautiously.
